Excellent performance: Maintains effectiveness even under high pressure and temperature conditions.
Saponification-free: Chemical stability maintains mud integrity and efficacy over a wide pH range.
WBMFiltration Controller
AK SULFONATED ASPHALT
A strategically formulated sulfonated asphalt that imparts hydrophilic properties to asphalt, ensuring optimal and uniform dispersion in water-based drilling muds. Forms thin films on wellbore walls to minimize fluid filtration and improve shale stability.
Advantages
Wellbore stability: Improves mechanical stability in the wellbore.
Superior filtration control: Drastically reduces fluid filtration during drilling.
Enhanced chemical resistance: Good performance in alkaline environments.
Water-dispersible: High dispersibility in water due to hydrophilic functional groups.
No stable foam formation: Reduces the need for defoamers.
WBMClay Inhibitor
AK SHALE-PRO
An advanced technology additive based on polyamines, used to control clay swelling problems. Controls the natural cationic exchange occurring in shale formations and reduces clay adherence to the drill string.
Advantages
Cationic exchange control: Interacts with clay layers preventing expansion and inhibiting water absorption.
Formation stability: Controlling clay swelling directly contributes to the structural integrity of the wellbore.
Improved rheological properties: Prevents viscosity variations in muds caused by clay activity.
WBMClay Inhibitor
AK SHALE-HIB
An advanced technology additive designed to inhibit shale and clay hydration. Its formulation combines quaternary amines synthesized in a triprotic acid medium, generating a dibasic potassium complex that suppresses cationic exchange in shales. Includes a surfactant that prevents bit balling.
Advantages
Cationic exchange suppression: The dibasic potassium complex acts more effectively than conventional salts, reducing ionic mobility.
Formation stability: Controlling clay swelling directly contributes to the structural integrity of the wellbore.
Compatibility and operational versatility: Works in water-based mud systems of varying densities and conditions without compromising other additives.
